Turtles, Turtles, Turtles!!!
We discovered a beach area in Hilo called Carl Smith Beach. We've driven by many times and finally stopped. It's a beautiful lagoon with crystal clear water--like a swimming pool. We saw three turtles yesterday and some kids were even feeding one of them. The really neat thing was that they were just hanging out there; not like other times when you see them for about 30 seconds and then there are gone. We will definitely recommend this spot to guests. Carl Smith Beach sounds like a dream spot. Clear water lagoon and friendly turtles, sounds like a great outing for your lucky guests.
